Minecraft is a popular sandbox game in which players appear in endless randomly generated worlds.
Why is the game so popular? In it, each user can choose their favorite game mode. Some people like to survive in the open world, while others like to build their own in creative mode. In addition, users are attracted by the fact that in the sandbox you can explore and create worlds with friends, and create something new from almost every block by combining them with each other.
It's very easy to start programming in Minecraft
First, you need to register on the ProgKids website. After registration, you will see a window with a selection of Minecraft programming courses.
1. Open the “Meet PROGKIDS” course. If you have no programming experience yet, we recommend that you start learning how to program in Minecraft with a simple Snap course! Here you can learn about the ProgKids platform and how to work with it.
If you already know how to program with the visual languages Snap or Scratch and want something more complicated, then move on to programming lessons with Python.
2. Download the launcher with the Minecraft game. You can download the launcher after you select and run the lesson on the ProgKids platform.
3. Install the launcher. The installation process may vary depending on the operating system. But this is not difficult, just follow the instructions. Once the installation is complete, log in to the launcher using the login and password from your ProgKids account.
You can launch the game.
4. When the game starts, you need to go to your browser and open a window with a lesson. Now you can start completing tasks. You can also open the sandbox mode, where all Minecraft programming blocks are available and create your own programs.
