Rust update April 2023

1. Easter eggs in Rust

A unique event begins in Rust — Easter Egg Hunt.

For seven days, over a period of 24 to 38 hours, Easter eggs will appear on the map. You'll have a few minutes to collect them. The top 3 players who collect the most eggs will receive a valuable reward — unique eggs that can be split and gain values from exclusive resources to rare weapon systems!

But even if you can't win, don't worry — collected eggs can be upgraded to get bronze, silver and gold eggs, which also contain unique values. Don't forget that the main thing about this event is passion and pleasure!

In addition, items related to Easter, such as “Egg Costume” and “Rustig Egg”, will be available in the store. Rustig Egg is a beautifully decorated egg with a miniature underwater lab inside. Don't miss out on this fun Rust event!

2. Marker functionality

The Rust map received a fresh update in April that added new features for markers on the map. Players can now easily create and edit up to five markers using new controls. Removing markers has also become easier — just click on the left mouse button.

Each marker can be customized by choosing a color, icon, and label. By updating the Rust map, players can more effectively use markers to navigate and coordinate team activities.

In addition, the new ping system — Pings — adds more flexibility when communicating within a team. While using various intelligence tools, such as surveillance cameras, drones, and binoculars, players can hold down the right mouse button to create contextual pings in the right places.

If you need more precise ping settings, you can use the radial menu with different ping options. Pings makes communication and collaboration within a team much easier, making the gaming experience more effective and enjoyable.

3. Updating models

Previously, Rust wasn't able to quickly determine what types of rockets and ammunition were in your inventory, as their models were indistinguishable from each other. However, thanks to updated world models, you will now be able to distinguish between identification tags on HV, Incendiary and conventional rockets.

In addition, new models of the world have been created for different types of shotgun cartridges. This update also includes new models for Road Sign Gloves, Snap Trap, and ammo.

Rust's updated world models make gameplay easier to understand and improve players' experience. You can now easily tell ammunition and missiles apart, and new shotgun ammunition models give them a more realistic appearance.

Rust Island may soon have no more brown bags, as players will have better tools for identifying various items in their inventory. We'll be waiting for new updates from developers that will make the Rust gaming world even more fun and exciting!

4. Double horse saddle

Say goodbye to loneliness while riding a horse with the new two-seater saddle! Now you can share this unforgettable experience with a friend or partner. The two-seater saddle is a new addition to your favorite single saddle, so you can choose the one that's right for you.

Once you find a wild horse, it will already be equipped with a single-seater saddle. However, don't be upset — you can easily replace it with a double one via the horse's radial menu. Don't forget to prepare the right saddle item in advance so you don't miss the moment!

A double saddle is available for purchase in the stable. So don't miss the chance to try a new way to travel with a friend on horseback!
