On the occasion of International Cerebral Palsy Day, Russia has released a unique font created by children with cerebral palsy

International Cerebral Palsy Day

The Gift to an Angel Charitable Foundation, together with the Smetana creative agency, in partnership with Rosbank, helped children with cerebral palsy create a special font called Dobroschrift. The font will become a visual symbol of support and inspire a wide audience to help children with cerebral palsy.

According to the project team's concept, Dobrofont should replace the fonts we are used to — in logos, advertising, communications and products. The authors believe that children with cerebral palsy can create and create, despite the fact that every letter is difficult for them.

As a product of children's creativity, Dobrofont will become useful and applicable wherever text appears: from any inscriptions in an urban environment to texts on social networks. Dobrofont is a means of visually expressing help and support for children with cerebral palsy.

It is easy to support children. On the site dobroshrift.ru You can read the stories of children who created the basic characters of the font, download Dobrofont, buy goods with Dobrofont and make a donation that will be used to rehabilitate children with cerebral palsy. 100% of the funds raised will go to the Gift to Angel Foundation to support children with cerebral palsy and their families: physical and speech therapy rehabilitation, medicines, specialized furniture, clothes and financial assistance to families.

Dobrofont's idea has already been supported by popular brands, media platforms and bloggers who have become project ambassadors.

How the font was created

During rehabilitation classes, the wards of the Gift to an Angel Foundation drew letter symbols in special words for several days. Then the specialists of the Paratype type design studio turned these characters into a full-fledged font. The font file can be downloaded from the Dobroshrift website.
