And if your kids want to try something new, we look forward to seeing them at Progkids!

What is lag?

Lagom is a Swedish concept meaning “just right” or “moderation”. It focuses on achieving balance and harmony in life, avoiding excesses or shortages.

Lagom teaches us to find balance in every aspect of life. This philosophy of moderation and mindfulness helps us focus on what really matters.

The basic principles of lag

No.1. Balance in everything

Lagom supports the idea that work should be balanced with personal life and leisure. This contributes to a healthier and more satisfied lifestyle.

#2. Simplicity

Lagom is evident in Scandinavian interior design, where simplicity, functionality and natural materials are preferred.

#3. Environmental awareness

Lagom principles contribute to a sustainable lifestyle. Swedes strive to minimize consumption and care for the environment, which is in line with the “not too much, not too little” philosophy.

#4. A sense of well-being

Research shows that striving for moderation and balance can improve overall well-being and reduce stress levels.

#5. Moderation in nutrition

Lagom also manifests itself in moderation — a balanced diet without frills that values the quality of food.

#6. Social harmony

Lagom helps to create harmonious relationships in society, where cooperation and respect for other people are of great value.

A lag in the house

#1. Use simple lines, neutral colors, and natural materials. This will create a sense of space and tranquility.

#2. Items in the house should not only be beautiful, but also useful. Give preference to multifunctional furniture and accessories.

#3. Make sure that every item has its own place. This will help maintain order and reduce stress.

#4. Use energy-efficient appliances and lighting to reduce energy consumption.

#5. Create areas for rest and relaxation with soft blankets, pillows and dim lighting.

A lag in life

#1. Work-life balance

Find a balance between professional responsibilities and personal life. This will help you avoid burnout and keep you motivated.

#2. Moderation in consumption

Value quality over quantity in everything from clothes to food. This contributes to more conscious consumption.

#3. Simple pleasures

Enjoy the simple pleasures of life — taking a walk in the fresh air, having a cup of tea or reading a book.

#4. Health care

Get regular physical activity, eat healthy, and pay attention to mental well-being.

#5. Social harmony

Strive for harmonious relationships with others, respecting their opinions and maintaining open communication.

#6. Environmental awareness

Take measures to protect the environment: sort waste, use reusable bags and try to minimize your ecological footprint.

Lagging and child development

Raising children in a lag way can help them develop a healthy attitude towards learning and life in general. Here's how to apply lag to your child's learning.

#1. The balance between study and leisure

Help your child find a balance between activities and fun. This helps maintain motivation and prevents burnout.

#2. Moderation in workload

Instead of overloading your child with many clubs and activities, choose some of the most significant and interesting areas for him. This will allow him to focus on what really matters.

#3. Creating a comfortable environment

Provide your child with a comfortable and comfortable place to study where they can focus without too much stress.

#4. Promoting conscious consumption

Teach your child to value quality over quantity, whether it's the things they use or the time they spend doing different activities.

#5. Developing self-sufficiencyet

Encourage your child to make their own decisions about how to allocate time and effort. This contributes to the development of responsibility and self-confidence.

#6. Focus on the process

Instead of focusing only on results, teach your child to enjoy the learning process itself and find joy in learning new things.

#7. Family traditions

Create family rituals that help strengthen the bond between family members and maintain a sense of stability.
